  <abstract>Historia Mexicana is a quarterly journal of Mexican history founded in 1951 by Daniel Cos�io Villegas. It belongs to El Colegio de M�exico's Center of Historical Studies. It publishes exclusively original research materials on the history of Mexico and its relations with the rest of Latin America and the Hispanic world. Its issues provide an outlook of the evolution of historiography in Mexico.</abstract>
