Estudios de Asia y Africa is an interdisciplinary academic journal that began publication in El Colegio de Mexico in January of 1966 under the name Estudios Orientales. In January of 1975 the name of the magazine changed to Estudios de Asia y Africa, continuing the volume and issue ordering. It currently publishes three times per year. The journal contains debates, documents, book reviews, informative articles on current events, historical analyses of present events, text translations of Asian or African languages, and articles of investigation with summaries in English and Spanish.
