Unplanned pregnancy is major problem among women of child bearing age and may sometimes occur as a result of inconsistent use of contraceptive methods or non use of modern contraception. Recent scientific findings indicate that long acting reversible contracepives methods, which are cost effective and highly effective in pregnancy prevention are a possibli solution to the problem of unplanned pregnancies. The aim of the study is to identify the demographic, socio-economic and reproductive health factors associated withthe use of long acting reversible contraceptive methods among women of child bearing age between 15- 49 years in Mwase, Lundazi.
