Wound infections contribute significantly to morbidity and mortality in surgical patients. A number of factors contribute to wound infection; however microorganisms are the major causes with bacteria being the most prevalent. The main objective of this study is to determine the susceptibility of bacteria associated with wound sepsis to antimicrobials drugs and sensitivity patterns of antimicrobial in the surgical wards at NCH from 2012- 2014.
