<br/><br/> Among the many extensions in the roles of pharmacy profession is the aspect of pharmaceutical care. However, the extension has not come without challenges from both internal and external forces. this study is therefore aimed at describing the current pharmaceutical care practices at Kitwe central hospital  by assessing the awareness of the pharmacists of pharmaceutical care concept, identifying the patient-centered pharmaceutical services offered by pharmacists and identifying the barriers that may limit the implementation of pharmaceutical care.
