<br/><br/> Limb amputation is a major but preventable public health burden that is associated with tremendous economic, social and physiological effects on patients, their families and the country at large. There is however limited data on the epidemiological features of assumptions in developing countries where the impact is huge due to poor prosthetic services and where they are available but are unaffordable. The main objective of the study was to determine the epidomiological features of amputations carried out at the UTH between January 2013 and December 2014.
