The outcome of labour is not always known, sometimes labour which begins spontaneously will end up with complictions that neither the health staff nor the woman in labour anticipated. A preganant woman may not be aware of the true signs of and symptoms of labour and when she should report to labour ward for delivery services. This knowledge is very essential to prevent women reporting late to labour hence be monitored in labour and reduce maternal mortality as women would seek delivery services in time. The main aim of the study was to determine factors contributing to women reporting late to labour ward for delivery services.
