Tetanus toxoid is provided to women of child bearing age through mother and Child Health services to prevent unborn children from developing neonatal tetanus. In Luanshya district TT immunization coverage has been constantly low and the trend for TT coverage has been 60%in 2005, 58% in 2007, 52% in 2008 and 50% in 2009. the study was conducted in four health centres out of the sixteen health centres in Luanshya district.
