Lower limb amputation consists the greatest cases of physical disability. A limb amputation has an influence on several aspects of an individual's life such as body image, self care activities, mobility. The general objective of the study was to assess the prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms among patients at UTH and Zambian Italian Orthopaedic Hospital following lower limb amputation during the period of March and April 2015.
