<br/><br/> This is a paper which presents some empirical evidence regarding the process of labour absorption in the Colombian urban economy during 1975 -88. The period was seen to be appropriate for this type of analysis given the sharp readjustment exeperienced by urban labour markets as a consequence of the recession which bottomed - out during 1980-83.
