Aloes are reputed to have therapeutically, certainly since roman times. There are approximately 500 species, are perennial, drought resisting, succulent plants belonging to the ashphodelaceae family. They are indegenous to Africa but some have been introduced to Asia. The genus aloe is believed to treat various ailments. It contains bioactive compounds that work synergistically against microbes.This was an experimental study meant to investigate the anti bacterial properties of aloe duckeri christian found in zambia.
