Physical inactivity is now the fourth leading risk factor for global mortality according to WHO. Physiotherapy students are training to be professionals, who are projected as fitness experts in the society and are well positioned to incorporate health promotion startegies that can encourage patients to participate in physical activity. It is important therefor to understand contributing factors which influence individuals physical activity. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of psychosocial factors on physical activity and exercise levels among physiotherapy students at UNZA-RWC.
