Antenatal care in Zambia is provided by both public and private and health facilities. The government of the Republic of Zambia has continued to implement focuesd antenatal care services as recommended by World Health Organization. Zambia has fully committed itself to the provision of free antenatal care services in public health institutions. Despite this late registration for antenatal care still remains an issue of great concern. This study examined factors contributing to late registration for antenatal care services in the five districts of Zambia, namely Chipata, Mazabuka, Kasama, Mongu and Serenje.
