Nursing handover is the primary method of sharing patient information between shift and ensuring continuity of care from shift to shift. Nursing handover at the bedside is an interactive process, providing opportunities for input and questions from oncoming and outgoing as well as for obtaining the patient's viewpoint. The study was conducted in three hospitals - Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital, University Teaching Hospital and Isoka District Hospital.
