The study was conducted in kitwe at nkana mopani copper mines central shaft perceived noise significant areas from october, 27th to november, 27th 2012. The percieved noise areas had a total population of 78 and the study areas included pump chambers, loading boxes and winder houses. the general objective of the research was to assess noise level exposures at nkana mopani mines cental shaft and specifically to determine noiselevels in relation to minimum required international standards, noise sources, noise management and policy.
