The General Nursing Council of Zambia's professional code of conduct is a guide for action and decision making based on social values. However concerns arise over the conduct of nurses and midwives. The study was undetaken to assess the level of adherence and to identify other factors taht influence nurses and midwives adherence to their professional code of conduct at Livingstone Central and Senanga hospitals.
