The use of multiple drug in the treatment of tuberclosis is important because the mycobacterium TB has several sub-populations, each of which has varrying vulnerability to anti-tuberclosis drugs. To reduce the pill burden on patients taking multiple anti tuberculosis drugs, fixed dose combinations(FDC) of these drugs have been introduced.
