Soil pollution is the contamination of the soil caused by the presence of xenobiotic(human-made) Chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. Lead is naturally present in all soils. pollution has increased soil lead levels to several thousand ppm; the major cause of lead contamination in kabwe district is the weathering from the former Zinc-Lead mine.
