Spasticity is a common disorder affecting people with long term neurological conditions such as stroke, various different approaches exist in management of spasticity and include extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Different studies and clinical experiments have demonstrated the efficacy of shock waves in the treatment of various physiotherapy problems including spasticity and positive changes in the ASHWORTH scale have been observed. The objective was to determine the effects of ESWT on spastcity in adult patients with spastic hemiplegia at UTH.
