Days and weeks following childbirth (postnatal or puerperium) are critical in the lives of mothers and new born babies. It is the most vulnerable time for both especially during the hours and days after birth when major changes occur that determine the well-being of mothers and new borns. During this period, there may be a carry-over of problems from pregnancy and labour. Despite all this, mother's negelect the accessing of quality services available to them at health centres. The main objective was to determine the factors conributing to the low postnatal attendance at six days.
