Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. It causes pain, swelling and reduced motion in the affected joints. Both men and women are affected by this disease but it is more common in women after the age of 55 years. Osteoarthritis is a common health problem seen among women attending physiotherapy session at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka. The aim of the study was to find out the percieved factors contributing to osteoarthritis among females attending physiotherapy at the UTH.
