Cement production is invariably a dusty operation resulting in the exposure of factory workers to cement dust. Although personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn, reports from third world countries indicate that industries rarely provide precautionary measures. The main objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of respiratory disorders (RDs) among industrial workers at Lafarge Zambia (Chilanga Plant), from 2010 to 2014.
