The study was aimed at determining the factors influencing infection prevention among medical doctors at Kitwe Central Hospital. The focus was directed at knowledge, attitude and practice of medical doctor on infection prevention practices. Studies have been done on general nurses, midwives and on daily classified employees but no study has been conducted on thr medical doctors thereby identifying a gap in the infection prevention practices.
