Summary: This study looks at the historical development and contemporary structure of Zimbabwe mining industry and examines factors influencing low levels of investment in this industry. It also examines the specificity of these apparently increasing central reforms of economic activity and capital accummulation in Tanzania through an analysis of one of its main elements, gold mining.
