Government policies in agriculture have been costly and misdirected world wide. These policies cost taxpayers and consumers billions of dollars annually. They disrupt world trade and create divisive trade conflicts in agriculture. The study points out that withdrawing government intervention from agriculture can help solve problems faced in the agricultural sector.
