Summary: This paper presents some preliminary estimates of the impact of R&D, technology purchase expenditure, and foreign domestic R&D spillovers on productivity at the micro level using panel data for Indian manufacturing firms for the period 1974-75 to 1982-83 and international R&D and patent data from 9 countries.
