This study examines how HIV/AIDS affect women; women's vulnebility to HIV/AIDS; perceived risks of HIV infection among women; the role of women as care providers for people living with HIV/AIDS and sources of support for HIV/AIDS affected people and care providers. The study concludes by making practical recommendadtions to promote risk reduction behaviours related to perceived risk of HIV infection; assist women cope with AIDS and associated responsibilities; and develops interventions to improve the gender relation between men and women in the areas of communication and caring for the sick.
