Summary: This study was aimed at establishing the prevalence and magnitude of malnutrition among children under 5 years of age and women of child bearing age in Lusaka Urban district. The results from the study showed that chronic malnutrtion (stunting) rather than acute malnutrition (wasting) or undernutrition was the main nutritional problem among children. The overall rates of malnutrition were chronic 26.9, wasting 4.2 and undernutrition 13.5.
