The book highlights the growth of the smallholder sector of the Kenyan tea industry since 1960. It also uses econometric techniques to improve methods of predicting output by calculating yield curves for the various parts of the country. Further, it looks at the managerial skills of the farmers and the very high labour requirement of this cash crop.
