By: Material type: TextPublication details: Aston : University of Aston Management Centre, 1978.Subject(s): Summary: The paper considered some of the reasons for a remarkable reduction in strikes in Tanzania. It describes the phenomenon and the Tanzanian economy, then argues that two-fold policy of restricting collective bargaining while at the same time giving workers more rights such as job security and industrial democracy has transoformed industrial relations in Tanzania.
